Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And render vengeance to His adversaries; He will provide atonement for His land and His people. Deuteronomy 32:43 NKJV
Do we rejoice when God stands up for His people? Do we cheer for God's justice? Us together with his people, the Jews? Or are we critical and unloving towards His people? I regularly see texts from Christians who say that there is no longer a Jew. For in Christ everyone is one. That sounds very nice, but in the same text from Galatians 3:28 the Jew and the Gentile (Greek) are still mentioned separately. And this concerns the sonship that we all receive through our faith in Christ. This applies to those who have worked in the vineyard for a long time and to those who have worked for a very short time (Matthew 20:1-16).
We are one in Him through the same Holy Spirit. But we still have a Jew who believes in Him and a Gentile who believes in Him. Spiritualization is used to attack and question the legitimacy of the country of Israel. And not just the state, but also the Jewish people themselves.
It may take a long time for God's Words to be fully fulfilled, but when He speaks them they will certainly be fulfilled. God is going to reconcile with His country and His people. And that is the people of Israel, all tribes. We can rejoice in God's justice. If we take pleasure in the destruction of the wicked, it is held against us (Proverbs 24:17-18). That is because we do not give God the glory but rejoice in the destruction of someone else. What God asks of us is that we rejoice in what He does. Even if that is the day of revenge. Then we do not rejoice in the destruction of our adversary, we rejoice in His righteousness in which we hope. And the fruit of that is praise and honor to our Creator and His Son.
If then we may not delight in the death of the wicked, why should we delight in the misery of the Jewish people? Or criticize them? In an earlier Telegram message, on my Dutch Telegram channel, I briefly talked about the text from Matthew 25:37. The sheep will answer Jesus at the judgment: when? When did we see you hungry, etc. The knowledge of Him and of His people has then disappeared that it is no longer there. This applies to a large part of this group. How important Israel is is not clear to many Christians. God's plan of salvation for this world will be accomplished through it. After all, salvation comes from the Jews. Jerusalem is the city of the great King. Jesus will reign from this city. He is the King of Israel and of the whole world.
The same question applies to the goats. They do not know Jesus and hate His people because they showed His people no mercy. So anyone who hates Israel has a problem. You can say: I have criticism, that is not hatred. But I speak from experience, it starts with confusion, then criticism and as this sin matures it ends in hatred. It is not without reason that Jesus said that looking at another woman is a sin. It starts there and it ends, if you are not careful, if you do not repent, in adultery. Jesus knew very well how to recognize the root cause.
The question for us is, do we see how important Israel is? Do we rejoice how even now God is executing vengeance on all his adversaries? How do we see that hezbollah and hamas have been decimated? How all opponents of Israel tried to bring this state to its knees through 7 fronts and how God turned everything around? Do we see His Hand causing the Iron Dome and all other defense systems to intercept more than was thought possible? Do we see God's Hand in the fact that 50% of the missiles and drones fired by the Houthis are already falling from the sky or being shot in front of Israel? If you don't look at Israel you miss so much, you miss His works and you miss the view of God's character.
The miracle of 1948 is denied among Christians. It is sad to see how many people still have envy towards Israel and the Jewish people. There is still that proud accusation: They must repent. The problem is that for generations Christians have done everything they can to make this impossible, even in the Name of Jesus Christ. Know that Jesus deeply resented the disciples for keeping the children from coming to Him. Would that not also apply to His brothers?
The God of Israel and His Anointed are working to return the people to His Land. At the end of all this there will come a day when all Israel will be saved. Then our God will make righteousness reign on this earth through His Son. The kingdom will be restored. I look forward to it and I rejoice and I hope with many of His people. Jesus is the Hope for Israel, He is also the Savior for the Jewish people. He will reconcile with His brothers as Joseph did with His brothers despite all opposition from the world and the churches.
