for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It is tempting to use the Word of God or a prophecy for your own gain and to give it your own interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). This text can be interpreted in different ways. Election is a persistent false doctrine that keeps people in a grip of (mortal) fear and a sense of rejection. If He does not do it, if I am not gripped, I am not saved.

It is also explained as an excuse. If He does nothing, I can do nothing. He has to do it and then I can work His works. God does not take us over, He wants us to choose for Him. If you persist in this way of thinking, there is a great danger that you will end up like that one servant who was entrusted with 1 talent and buried it in the ground and did nothing with it (Matthew 25:18). There are people who go to church for years and never do anything with God's Word. It is religion and it has nothing to do with a relationship. Where there is no love, a marriage cannot survive. How can a relationship with our Savior and Lord, Jesus, survive?

The faith of a mustard seed is important. Are we willing to follow Jesus? If we decide to do so, He can entrust us with small things. And if He can entrust us with small things, He can certainly entrust us with great things (Luke 16:10). What matters here is that you are willing to follow Jesus, that you are willing to take up your cross. That is where your old self will die. If you want that, and that involves falling and getting up again, He will be more and more visible in you.

That decision matters. Because the more He is in us through the Holy Spirit, the more the will becomes visible and the more the works. Because what comes from the heart is expressed in the works we do (Matthew 15:18). We no longer live for ourselves, we live more and more with Him. Sin can stand in our way, but if we confess it, He is faithful to forgive our sins. Don't think, I'll never learn, but believe, I will learn. Jesus is worth giving up everything for, according to His good pleasure. Come to Him, all who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest.

Listen to His voice and decide to follow Him. Do this more and more and you will see that this verse from Philippians is not just a verse, but reality. Choose the faith of a mustard seed and you will become a partaker of His good pleasure. For such are the Father and the Son, They share and They share abundantly.
